Lighting a Spark

“You often feel tired, not because you've done too much, but because you've done too little of what sparks a light in you.” ― Alexander Den Heijer

Lets do a small Monday morning activity. (It’ll be easy, I promise). Grab a piece of paper and a pen. Answer these two questions.

As you go throughout your day, what percentage of your time are you doing things that spark a light in you?

Now, what percentage of your time are you doing things that don’t feed you or give you energy?

Look at your answers. Do you feel good about those percentages?

If we are not spending enough time focusing on the things that light us up we’re going to feel sluggish, tired, and depressed. Feeling this way can also further deter us from doing the things that will keep us healthy and happy. How can we exercise or keep ourselves healthy if we’re tired all the time?

The law of attraction says that the energy we put out into the world is the energy we get back. We can choose the energy we put out and choosing positive thoughts and intentions are the first step.

You don’t need to change overnight, and it’s not going to be easy. If you’re feeling tired, worn out, depressed; if the first percentage you wrote down doesn’t seem to be enough, start building up. Find some thing that lights up your life and run with it.

If you’re struggling to find even that first one thing, contemplate these questions. What are the things in life that light you up? What do you feel happiest doing? What feels meaningful to you? Whatever these answers are - prioritize them.

This is something that no one but you can do. Take the first step and comment below.

“I’m going to take myself where I want to go.”
